SUPPORTING HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS: THE FBA RUNS TWO PROGRAMS FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS: THE HAGGERTY SCHOLARS PROGRAM AND THE BEHIND THE ROBES SEMINAR. THE PROGRAM IDENTIFIES HIGH-ACHIEVING HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS, ARRANGES A LEGAL INTERNSHIP FOR THEM DURING THE SUMMER, AND PROVIDES MENTORSHIP TO THEM AS THEY APPLY FOR COLLEGES DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR. THE SEMINAR PROVIDES AN OPPORTUNITY FOR STUDENTS FROM UNDER-PRIVILEGED SCHOOLS TO SPEND A DAY AT THE FEDERAL COURTHOUSE AND MEET WITH JUDGES AND LAWYERS. THE SEMINAR IS HELD 2-4 TIMES A YEAR. SUPPORTING LAW STUDENTS AND NEW LAWYERS: THE FBA THROWS A NUMBER OF SOCIALS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR TO SUPPORT ALL OREGON ATTORNEYS AND JUDGES BUT ESPECIALLY LAW STUDENTS AND NEW LAWYERS.
