Mission

To encourage community investment through private giving to ensure the people of Benton County the full measure of resources, service and access befitting a great public library.

Our name has changed to the friends and foundation of the corvallis-benton county public library and our mission statement has also changed. It is:to enrich the lives of the people in benton county by fostering a vibrant, accessible and inclusive corvallis-benton county public library system through advocacy, volunteerism and philanthropic support. We envision a thriving and inclusive community where the corvallis-benton county public library is a cornerstone of lifelong learning, inspiration and connection for residents.

“This year the foundation of the corvallis-benton county public library changed its name to friends and foundation of the corvallis-benton county public library (f&f) and took on some of the activities that had previously been done by the friends of the corvallis-benton county public library. The f&f now accept donations of books and other materials from the community that are processed by volunteers and resold. The proceeds fund library programming, including the random review and summer reading programs. Additionally, the revenue provides support for library staff, including providing funding for staff participation and attendance at conferences.”
