Mission and Program Overview

Mission

Classroom law project (the organization) is an oregon nonprofit corporation whose purpose is to promote citizenship education and an understanding of the role and purpose of law and society, principally through work with schools throughout the state of oregon.

Major Activities

Activity 2
Civic mission and schools - to educate students and the general public about the preservation of democracy incorporating the lessons and principles of democracy into the school curriculum and promoting an understanding of the law, democracy, and the role of the citizen.
Activity 3
Teacher support - on statewide in-service and other days, clp brings information to teachers on our programs: we the people, project citizen, street law, mock trial and youth summits.
