“The finance manager, executive director, board treasurer, finance committee chair, and board president all review the form 990 prior to finalization. After the form 990 has been completed, a copy is sent to all voting board members for review. After this review, the form 990 is filed.”

“The organization supplies a copy of the conflict of interest policy to each officer/director each year to review and sign. The policy is included in board packets issued to new board members. Also, each year the policy is discussed with all employees. The organization's accounts payable and approval process helps to monitor potential conflicts on an ongoing basis. At this time, there have been no conflict of interest problems.”

“The board of director's personnel finance committee reviews compensation annually. The board reviews and provides final approval of any proposed changes recommended by the personnel finance committee. Salary and compensation comparisons to other organizations are completed by the finance committee approximately every three years. The organization's officers do not receive compensation and there are no key employees as defined by the irs.”

“Financial statements are available to the public upon request. The process is described on our website. Also, granting and contracting entities routinely request a copy of our audited financial statements as part of our annual reporting requirement.”

“Relief nursery added a new program, contracting with the department of human services (dhs) to provide in-home safety and reunification services (isrs). These services provide for the immediate safety of children at risk of maltreatment by managing the safety threats within the family, or when children have been placed in protective custody or substitute care, to help them return home by providing safety and change services such as in-home observation, supervision and specific intervention. Relief nursery also added the following positions: bilingual peer support; lane county treatment court navigator; bilingual early intervention/early childhood special education (ei/ecse) specialist; and a bilingual mental health counselor.”

“The covid pandemic required changes in operations such as virtual versus in-person home visits, virtual parent education classes, modified and/or temporarily closed therapeutic early childhood program classrooms and other reduced services such as transportation and respite child care, while adding food box support and delivery and rent assistance for families.”
