Organization receives a salary comparison document every other year from the federation of state humanities councils. The organization also gets an oregon wage and salary comparison document which provides the same information for nonprofits around the state of oregon. The executive committee uses these documents to determine wages.

Financial Statement Notes

PART V, LINE 4:

The oregon humanities endowment distribution is calculated at 4.5% of a thirteen quarter trailing average of market values with adjustments for fund contributions. Half of the annual amount is distributed each june and december. These distributions support general operating costs.

PART X, LINE 2:

The organization follows the provisions of fasb asc topic 740 accounting for uncertainty in income taxes. Management has evaluated the organization's tax positions and concluded that there are no uncertain tax positions that require adjustment to the financial statements to comply with provisions of this topic.
