Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

Pitb is a nonprofit organization exempt from federal income tax under the provisions of internal revenue code section 501(c)(6) except to the extent of unrelated business taxable income as defined under irc sections 511 through 515. The organization recognizes the tax benefit from uncertain tax positions only if it is more likely than not the tax positions will be sustained on examination by the tax authorities, based on the technical merits of the position. The tax benefit is measured based on the largest benefit that has a greater than 50% likelihood of being realized upon ultimate settlement. The organization recognizes interest and penalties related to income tax matters in operating expenses. The organization had no unrecognized tax benefits at december 31, 2024. No interest or penalties were accrued for the years ended december 31, 2024. The organization files an exempt organization return in the u.s. Federal jurisdiction.
