The medical equipment loan program provides medical equipment on loan to seniors and disabled persons at no charge as long as there is a need. Hospital beds, walkers, crutches, and wheelchairs are examples of equipment available. The information and referral program provides information via the telephone to persons seeking assistance regarding the organizations programs and other human services agencies in jackson county. Community planning provides for assessment of community wide needs in order to provide more effective services and programs. It also coordinates jackson countys continuum of care for homeless residents. Program support provides additional funding to support administrative and program costs of other programs. Other program services 8: other programs: the olsrud family nutrition center provides operation of a community nutrition center used to provide a meeting facility with catering options to other agencies in the community and a commercial kitchen used to prepare meals distributed by food and friends (a meals on wheels program).”
