Mission and Program Overview

Mission

Northwest pilot project helps very low-income older adults in multnomah county who are at risk of homelessness. We connect seniors to safe, affordable housing and provide ongoing support so they can remain stably housed. Our services include housing navigation, case management, rent assistance, and advocacy within the housing system. We focus on preventing homelessness, improving housing stability, and ensuring that older adults can age with dignity in the community.

To offer opportunities for a life of dignity and hope to elderly, poor, and homeless people.

OVER THE LAST YEARS UNITS HAVE BEEN LOST. THROUGH THE WORK OF NWPP, 1,200 UNITS IN REPLACEMENT HOUSING HAVE BEEN BUILT IN DOWNTOWN PORTLAND FOR LOW-INCOME SENIORS. RECENTLY, NWPP HAS ADOPTED AN ADVOCACY ACTION PLAN IN ORDER TO CONTINUE EDUCATION OF THE NEED FOR LOW INCOME HOUSING.
