On a regular basis, the human resources department reviews salary and benefit studies or surveys from similar agencies, non-profits or state departments. A comparative analysis is then made to determine where the next door, inc.'s salaries and benefits lie in relation to other agencies, and an effort is made to bring levels to at least the minimum to mid-point range. The board of directors reviews comparative analysis along with the annual performance evauluations during the executive session. The results are documented in meeting minutes and a copy is filed in the personnel file.

Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

The organization is exempt from income taxes under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code (irc). The organization may be subject to tax on income which is not related to its exempt purpose. For the years ended june 30, 2025 and 2024, no such unrelated business taxable income was reported and, therefore, no provision for income taxes has been made. The organization follows u.s. Gaap related to the recognition of uncertain tax positions and recognizes accrued interest and penalties associated with uncertain tax positions in the statement of activities when applicable. Management has determined that the organization had no uncertain tax positions as of june 30, 2025 or 2024, and therefore, no amounts have been accrued.

THE KLAHRE HOUSE PROGRAM INCLUDES MENTAL HEALTH, SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER, AND COUNSELING SERVICES ALONG WITH INDIVIDUAL, GROUP AND FAMILY THERAPY, PSYCHOLOGICAL AND BEHAVIORAL SKILL DEVELOPMENT, MEDICATION MANAGEMENT, ADDICTION AND SEX OFFENDER TREATMENT, AND PSYCHIATRIC SERVICES AND CONSULTATION.THE THERAPEUTIC FOSTER CARE PROGRAM PROVIDES CHILDREN FROM ACROSS OREGON WITH SHORT AND LONG-TERM RESIDENCY IN HOMES IN HOOD RIVER AND WASCO COUNTIES. THE PROGRAM PROVIDES SHELTER CARE, COMPREHENSIVE EVALUATIONS, SHORT-TERM MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES, TRANSITIONAL SUPPORT, COUNSELING AND SUPPORT SERVICES. TNDI ALSO OFFERS FOSTER HOME PLACEMENTS IN THE DALLES AND HOOD RIVER, WITH SPECIALIZED TRAINING AND SUPPORT FOR FOSTER PARENTS. IN ADDITION, TNDI HAS A GROUP FOSTER HOME THAT IS STAFFED BY TRAINED WORKERS. THIS COMMUNITY-BASED VOLUNTEER PROGRAM SEEKS TO INCREASE SCHOOL ACHIEVEMENT AND DECREASE SUBSTANCE ABUSE AND VIOLENCE AMONGST AT-RISK YOUTH. THE INDEPENDENT LIVING PROGRAM TEACHES LIFE SKILLS TO YOUTH WHO ARE AGING OUT OF THE FOSTER CARE SYSTEM. VOCA OFFERS CASE MANAGEMENT AND SUPPORT SERVICES TO TEENS WHO ARE VICTIMS OF CRIME.COLUMBIA GORGE YOUTH CONNECTIONS IS A PARTNERSHIP WITH THE SCHOOL DISTRICTS OF HOOD RIVER COUNTY, NORTH WASCO 21, AND WHITE SALMON VALLEY. THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES YOUTH OUTREACH WORKERS TO SCHOOLS ACROSS THE REGION WITH A GOAL TO CONNECT KIDS WITH COMMUNITY RESOURCES THEY NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL.
