Warner pacific has over 10,000 alumni worldwide and is represented in all 50 states. The alumni association is vital to the life and mission of warner pacific college, helping maintain our extended campus community by volunteering their time to activities and events that support the goals of the college. Through the alumni association, graduates can connect with other alums and find ways to engage in campus activities. The board of trustees is comprised of 23 volunteer members from a variety of professional backgrounds. . Warner pacific continues to be recognized for diversity and value. The college is the only 4-year institution in oregon to be listed as an emerging hispanic serving institution (his) by hsi center for policy and practice and it was honored with the education equity award by oregon campus compact. The college received four acclaimed rankings by the u.s. News & world report best college 2015 edition; 1 most diverse campus-west; top 10 regional colleges-west; great school at a great price; and best college for veterans. Warner pacific online degree programs were ranked 2 in portland by great value colleges, and the military friendly schools list included the college for the 7th consecutive year. Students at warner pacific participate in hands-on service throughout our community. Tutoring at local schools, providing facilities improvements to non-profit organizations, and getting to know our friends who live outdoors are just a few of the ways that our students help make portland a better place. Warner pacific believes that civic engagement empowers students to develop and apply their educational skills outside of the classroom in a practical environment, network locally, gain real-world experience, and effectively work toward lasting positive social change. In addition to close faculty relationships, warner pacific college also offers first-year learning communities (fylcs) to help students build a foundation of success and support throughout their college experience. Fylcs are cohorts of 12-15 students who participate together in learning activities that extend outside the traditional classroom setting. Athletics are also a major part of campus life. The warner pacific knights are members of the cascade collegiate conference, which is part of the national association of intercollegiate athletics (naia) division ii. Warner pacific student-athletes are both devoted students and dedicated athletes, representing the knights across 13 men's and women's varsity sports.
