| The Actors Village achieved significant programmatic accomplishments during the reporting year through the delivery of therapeutic, educational, and culturally responsive arts programming designed to improve quality of life, promote wellness, and foster community connection among underserved populations, particularly seniors and community members with limited access to arts and health-focused services. The organization successfully carried out therapeutic art services that integrated creative expression with emotional wellness and social engagement. These sessions provided participants with opportunities to explore creativity in a supportive environment, reduce stress, build confidence, and strengthen social bonds. Participants engaged in guided art activities that encouraged self-expression, storytelling, and reflection, contributing to improved emotional well-being and increased feelings of connection and purpose. In addition, The Actors Village implemented Bingocize, an evidence-based wellness program that combines the familiar game of bingo with light physical movement, health education, and social interaction. Through this program, seniors participated in structured activities designed to promote physical mobility, cognitive stimulation, and social engagement in a fun and accessible format. Bingocize sessions helped participants remain active, reinforced healthy habits, and reduced social isolation, particularly among older adults who may face barriers to traditional fitness or wellness programs. A major cultural and educational accomplishment during the year was the creation of African American quilt art programming for seniors. This initiative honored African American history, storytelling, and artistic traditions by engaging seniors in hands-on quilt art creation. Participants learned about the historical and cultural significance of quilting within African American communities while collaboratively creating visual art pieces that reflected personal experiences, heritage, and collective memory. The program fostered intergenerational dialogue, cultural pride, creative skill development, and community cohesion. Across all programs, The Actors Village served hundreds of individuals, with a primary focus on seniors and community members from underserved neighborhoods. Programming was delivered in accessible community settings and designed to be inclusive, culturally relevant, and responsive to participant needs. Feedback from participants indicated increased engagement, enjoyment, emotional well-being, and appreciation for opportunities to participate in meaningful arts and wellness activities. Through these accomplishments, The Actors Village advanced its charitable and educational mission by using the arts as a tool for healing, wellness, cultural preservation, and community empowerment. All activities were carried out in furtherance of the organization's tax-exempt purpose under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. | $48,508 | $5,200 |
