DescriptionGrantsExpenses
Drug-Free Communities (DFC) Through the funding received for the Drug Free Communities Grant, 3PC has served over 1,000 Peoria residents, both youth and adults, through educational presentations on Fentanyl, marijuana use, vaping, and other drug trends in the community. DFC funding has enabled the coalition to establish a partnership with the Peoria Unified School District, allowing them to serve and educate youth directly. Working with the school district and other community partners, we have developed a diversion program for youth caught at school using vape products (THC or nicotine). This partnership has enabled over 40 students to receive the education and resources necessary to better understand the realities of their choices, along with healthy alternatives. This program has reduced the recidivism rate among students who use and are caught on school grounds. 3PC also participates in Drug Takeback events in partnership with the Police Department, National Guard, and DEA. The coalition helped collect 85 pounds of unused or unwanted medication. 3PC also distributes free Naloxone, which is a fentanyl/opioid overdose reversal nasal spray, and provides appropriate education on how to reverse an overdose. In addition, the coalition has distributed print materials at various community-facing events, totaling approximately 2,500 pieces. Our website, which features community resources and education, attracted 12,730 unique visitors. Our print media reached 99,000 homes.$71,135$69,727
SACLA: State Opioid Response (SOR) 3PC distributed information through print material (1,500), 10 community presentations reaching 250 people, and participated in 8 community-wide events. SACLAz funding gave 3PC the opportunity to connect with organizations in the community, county, and statewide. 3PC participated in workgroups within SACLAz to modify the toolkit information. The coalition also participated in Youth Advocacy Day, a Community Views Survey (47 responses), and the Arizona Drug Summit.$3,675$11,965
