Mission
Our organization is a 501(c)(4) political action committee established by concerned citizens who recognized the need to safeguard Loudoun County Virginia's natural resources, farms, villages and communities. We are dedicated to preserving Loudoun County's character by fighting sprawl and overcrowding.The Corporation is organized for (1) all purposes permitted to a Virginia Political Action Committee and (2)(a) to support farming and preservation of open space, forests, mountainsides, mountain crests and waterways, and (b) to oppose commercialization and residential growth in western Loudoun County and surrounding rural areas, that may be harmful to the goals set out in (2)(a) above.

| ReasonableCauseExplanation/ExplanationTxt | 0 | On our filing deadline of May 15, 2024 I attempted to file our return but learned it could not be filed because our EIN number could not be found. Upon contacting the IRS to investigate the reason I found that we had not filed our Form 8976 at our small organization's inception in January 2023. I immediately filed this form and paid the required fee and was told we could not file our return until our Form 8976 was accepted and that it could take up to 60 days for the form to be acknowledged. After not receiving such acknowledgement within the time indicated I called the IRS service desk and was told that the status had not been resolved and that a trouble ticket had been filed and our obligation to pay a penalty for late filing of our Form 8976 would be suspended until the resolution of this matter could be resolved, and that it could take up to 30 days to receive an update on the status. I have still not heard back but am filing our return now as a matter of good faith. Please note that our campaign finance reports to the State of Virginia have been submitted as required since our organizations, so I hope you will recognize that the filing was late inadvertently and for reasonable causes.
