“After a meeting where the Independent Living Center, LRI discussed interruptions in services, they disclosed that all of the CIL are losing money, and unable to budget to include our organization into their SPIL. I changed our approach to fit the issues brought up by the Deaf Grassroots Movement: Communication Access, Employment, and Education. We changed our approach to getting CESP for payment from O.V.R. as we work with many Deaf people looking for work to start incomes. We also are looking in other streams of revenue since we can't sustain this organization with CIL funding for the time being.”
