Produced resource guides for distribution to workshop participants. Offered one-on-one consultations. Persons benefited:Summit attendance?106 youth and adults. Workshop participation:?18 community members (local residents and small?business owners). Accomplishments:An overwhelming majority of participants reported increased understanding of the meaning of civic engagement; eight resident-led community economic plans were drafted during workshops. Implemented a community survey for data-driven impact. Program?Service?2 SHGE Academy Services provided:Delivered 139 instructional days of civic literacy, economics and arts?integrated learning for middle school students. Curated two public exhibitions. Persons benefited:Direct instruction? to five students; exhibition attendance?: approx. 120 community members. Key accomplishments:Students completed a three?unit curriculum on local, state and national governance; curated a trip to the nations capitol for students to gain first hand knowledge of the legislative process and engage with government officials; partnered with a local community organization to log service?learning hours. Program?Service?3 Health ?& Wellness?Initiatives Services provided:Promoted the Zola Wellness Experience to CFG constituents; hosted an auricular acupuncture pop?up clinic. Persons benefited:Wellness Circle attendance?112 unique participants; acupuncture treatments?37 individuals; directory circulated to?210 residents and caregivers. Key accomplishments:Participated in an international exchange program in Ghana to study indigenous healing practices, broadening the knowledge based used to serve Black communities. Initiated an expansion plan by conducting a comprehensive scan of alternative and holistic healing modalities for inclusion in a resource hub now in its ideation phase.
