“Alaska chapter down syndrome congress is a grass roots organization consisting of individuals with down syndrome, their families and friends. It provides individual assistance, current information, and social opportunities. Organization's mission is one of advocacy and inclusion for people with down syndrome.”

“Scholarship program includes an individual assistance for camps, sporting or other physical activities, as well as music, or educational programs. Also, individual assistance grants are provided to any family with a child with developmental delays when a family is in financial need. These grants may be used for specialized equipment and therapies or for uncovered medical expenses. The organization funds scholarships for adults to attend workshops, conferences, and meetings along with educational scholarships to all member families.”
