“Citc's board of directors has established a compensation committee that is a subset of the board that approves the exact salary amount of the president and ceo and also approves the broadband salary structures that determine the salary and wages for the rest of the organization. Citc employs thirdparty compensation consultants to provide substantiated comparability data. The compensation committee approves, on an annual basis, the salary and incentive pay for the president and ceo. Both the deliberation and documentation of this decision are documented in the minutes of the compensation committee.”
“Citc's compensation committee also reviews market data (again provided by an independent entity) that serves as the basis for the salary ranges for citc's executive team. An independent compensation consultant provides citc with market data from organizations that are similar in scope and size to citc. From the data, the compensation committee approves salary ranges that set the minimum and maximum salary amounts for a given level of responsibility. The deliberation process is documented in both documents submitted to the committee for their review and also in the committee meeting minutes that are taken at each meeting.”

“OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 4: Child and Family Services - CITCs Family Wellness Services provide comprehensive support to assist families in establishing safe, secure, and healthy family environments. We partner with families in developing new skills to stay together and avoid foster-care placement of their children, and our services promote the health and wellness of early learning and early childhood development. We help families recover from and/or prevent abuse, neglect, and domestic violence through education and mentoring services and by establishing connections with related resources in the community. We also serve families in immediate need with financial support for living expenses, housing, and connections to employment, child-care services, and transportation. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 5: Education Services - We partner with you to ensure our youth receive quality educational experiences that prepare and empower them for success in academics and in life. Services include after-school tutoring and mentoring, school-break camps, and access to CITCs Super Fab Lab, as well as healthy lifestyles development, and career planning and preparation. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 6: Alaska's People - Works to connect Alaska Native/American Indian people in the Cook Inlet region to employment and training opportunities. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 7: Social Enterprises Technical services, facilities rental, and our Super Fab Lab operations.”

“On September 30, 2024, Clare Swan Early Learning Center, and Get Out the Native Vote, two organizations consolidated on the Cook Inlet Tribal Council audited financial statements ceased operations and transfered all assets to Cook Inlet Tribal Council to continue operations a extensions of Cook Inlet Tribal Council and not under their own EIN. The cumulative amount transfered was 464,475.”

A key component of connecting our people to their potential is creating a strong link to Alaska Native identity. “CITC, ANJC, GOTNV and CSELC are exempt from federal income taxes under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, and accordingly no provision for income taxes is included in the financial statements. Certain activities of CITC, ANJC, and CSELC may constitute unrelated business income and be subject to tax.CEI, a fully owned subsidiary of CITC, is subject to income taxes. Deferred taxes are provided for under FASB codification 740, Accounting for Income Taxes. Under the codification, current income tax assets or liabilities are recognized for estimated taxes refundable or payable on current-year income tax returns. A deferred tax asset or liability is recognized for future tax effects attributable to temporary differences arising between the tax basis of assets or liabilities and their reported amounts in the financial statements. The measurement of current and deferred tax assets and liabilities is based on provisions of enacted tax law. The effect of a change in tax rates on the deferred taxes is recognized in income in the period that includes the enactment date. Deferred tax assets are reduced by the amount of tax benefits that are not expected to be realized.The Organization applies the provisions of Topic 740 of the FASB Accounting Standards Codification relating to accounting for uncertainty in income taxes. The Organization annually reviews its tax return and positions taken in accordance with the recognition standards. The Organization believes that it has no uncertain tax positions which would require disclosure or adjustment in these financial statements.”
