“The primary activity of the organization is to conduct and supervise regional bridge tournaments as well as all other contract bridge events authorized by the american contract bridge league,within the geographic boundries established by the american contract bridge league. This involves promotion of the events through advertising suitable for new and experienced players as well as the general public to encourage their participation in this unique mental activity. The organization is responsible for all aspects of the tournament, site, events, hours, food and enterainmet provided to the participants on site. The organization is also active in promoting and fostering contract bridge as well as the educational and charitable program of its parent organization not only by engaging in programs of its own, but also by coordinating activities of its member units. Educational seminars and lectures are part of the newcomer programs at the regional tournament sites. All events, seminars and lectures are open and available to the general public. Single session charity events are designated from time to time at regional tournaments. The organization also functions as a liaison among its member units to resolve disputes and adjudicate conflicts. A scheduling committee acts as a clearing house for the scheduling and sanctioning of the sectional bridge tournaments of its member units”
