Following the review of previous years 990s and financials we proceed to review the upcoming years budget.”

“The organizations conflict of interest policy was approved by at the annuall meeting of the board of directors and reviewed with board members at that meeting. The poicy is also included in WildTechs offical Personnel Handbook which is provided upon employment. In addition all employees are informed of the policy and encouraged to report any conflicts real-time. The Executive Director is regularly watching out for conflicts as part of his position”

“At Executive Directors salary is determined at the annual meeting of the board of directors. It is determined by examining the comparable salaries for Executive Directors in the DC area for organizations of comparable size and experience. WildTechs executive director is then paid substantially less than this amount at his request to encourage organizational sustainability and to maximize service to our beneficiaries. The salaries for other positions were determined by examining that available budget and comparing that to the average wage in the area for somebody of similar experience. Employees are generally provided less due to the tight econonic times in the Digital Inclusion non-profit sector and the lack of available budget funding.”

“WildTech conducted its first international service trip in 2024. USA volunteers gained work-based learning experience in education technology and digital inclusion as well as cultural understand by spending two weeks in Tanzania installing computer labs in two schools and training approximately 30 teachers how to utilized technology in the classroom in order to improve student learning providing digital literacy and a pathway to employment or enterpreneurship for students through technology training and work-based learning.”
