Mission

Program Services

DescriptionGrantsExpenses
School Grants are funds used for purchases that exceed the normally budgeted amounts for any program line item listed on the Annual Budget. For the 2024-2025 school year, there were a total of 11 grants approved that directly benefited all students and staff (500+). Fanny packs for our paraeducators were granted to ensure the most common everyday demands were met the instant they arose by keeping those necessary items close at hand- band-aids, pencils and pens, behavior incentives, and tissues are some examples. A Social Thinking program was granted that focuses on helping kids figure out how to think in social situations and build life skills. A language translator was granted to connect multi-lingual families with their students' teachers and ensure that all academic and social needs were being met. Literacy tools were granted to aid the students that needed a little extra help with literacy. Benches were granted so students could learn outside amidst fresh air and sunshine (weather permitting). An anti-bullying assembly was funded to teach students about how to recognize different types of bullying and conflict resolution. A program was granted that provided each student with a book that was collectively read by the whole school; this promoted reading and comradery. 5th grade students had their rocket program funded that taught them physics. A new curtain was granted that separates the cafeteria from the music room to reduce the amount of excess noise and distractions. Foundational reading skills were implemented with supplemental programs and materials. Several staff members were sent to a state conference to learn more about updates to standardized state testing.-$14,598
The technology program purchased a classroom audio system that was designed to make a teacher's voice clear and audible to all students in the room. It is a portable, wireless, and easy-to-use system that requires no installation, consisting of a flat speaker/amplifier and a wireless Flexmike that the teacher wears. The system can also be integrated with other classroom media and is designed to help students, particularly those with hearing impairments, focus and learn more effectively. This system was distributed to all classrooms and benefited all teachers and students throughout the school.-$5,053
PBIS is an evidence-based framework used in schools to create positive, predictable, and safe learning environments that improve student social, emotional, and academic outcomes. It is a proactive, school-wide system that focuses on teaching and reinforcing expected behaviors through clear expectations, positive recognition, and using data to guide decision-making, while providing support for students who need more targeted help. The PTA helped fund incentives, courses, and tools to accomplish this.-$2,165
