The mission of the Lhaqtemish Foundation (formally known as the Lummi Nation Service Organization): Nilh Xwenang Tse Schelangen Este Nexw Xwlemi (this is our way of life in Lummi) - a healthy, giving, and prosperous community to strengthen our people through cultural, social, and economic abundance. This is who we are as Lhaqtemish People. We strive to improve the health and quality of life for the people of Lummi Nation by supporting and strengthening programs, projects and special initiatives especially those organized to promote social well-being, education, culture and civic purposes.
