“Skamania economic development council contracts with skamania county, washington state, city of stevenson, skamania pud, city of north bonneville and port of skamania to provide various economic development efforts. Succesful grant and loan assistance - the edc assisted with various agencies in obtaining funding for the city of stevenson, the skamania pud. Priority project funding needs for current and local projects are maintained by the edc staff and approved quarterly through the county commissioners by resolution. Regional accomplishments - the edc works in coordination with our regional economic development association, mcedd. Mcedd and the edc work together on regional planning and messaging. Mcedd and the edc work together to ensure that both are supported in their local developments. Local accomplishments - the edc worked to create a local broadband bat team and is working to obtain broadband funding for our rural county. The edc also works in coordination with the stevenson downtown association. The two entities work to award local grants to downtown businesses. The edc attends and participates as a board member on the stevenson downtown association, the city of stevenson dreaming committee, the stevenson/carson school foundation, the rtc quarterly meetings, the skamania county government affairs committee.”
