“The President monitors conflict of interest policy compliance for officers of the Organization in their stewardships on an ongoing basis. The Board of Directors collectively monitors policy compliance of the President, Officers, and individual Board members on an ongoing basis with review of any possible conflicts during regular Board meetings. Once a potential violation of the policy is determined, corrective action is taken according to guidelines as outlined in the policy to ensure that the conflict is resolved.”

“While compensation for the board members and officers had originally been set by using wage surveys conducted by third parties, the Board has determined that all board members and officers of the Organization will serve on a volunteer basis and will not be compensated for these services. The board also approves a budget involving the compensation of services for employees of the Organization. Wages paid to officers as reported on Form 990, Part VII, and Form 990, Part IX, Line 5, are for other services provided to the Organization and not for their service in their capacity as board members or officers. In addition, some officers/Board Members are still receiving retro-active payments for deferred compensation from prior fiscal years.”
