“Provided 75 minute-long club ice sessions once a week for club members to train and improve their figure skating skills and abilities. Most sessions are devoted to training with figure skating coaches. One club session was devoted to a critique to allow club members to perform in front of a live audience and/or to receive feedback from official us figure skating judges. The club manages the winterfest ice rink at the seattle center to raise funds and provide an opportunity for the seattle ice theatre to perform. There were 4 performances this past year. Additionally, the club partnered with the highland ice arena skating school for a production of "a holiday show" to showcase seattle ice theater. A holiday performance was also held at the highland ice arena. The organization conducted 120 tests to measure the proficiency of club members against the national us figure skating test standards. These tests are also used to determine the competition level that club members may enter at all figure skating competitions including nationals, worlds, and olympics. Additionally, a "relay for life" fundraiser was held to raise funds for cancer patients.”
