“Organizations Primary Exempt Purpose Eastside Audubon promotes the environment, understanding and protection of native birds, other wildlife and their habitats with a focus on local areas and the Pacific Northwest. Educational and Civic Participation: We continued to present to children of all grade levels to educate them on birds and the nature environment via classroom presentations. We provided nature walks to educate people of all ages about birds, the habitats to find them in, and some of the threats they face. We also held pop-up tables at various community events. Habitat Restoration, Conservation, and Volunteer Activities We continued our ongoing Climate Watch Survey to monitor how birds react to a warming world. We held our annual Christmas Bird Count to get our volunteers involved in counting wintering birds and submitted the data to the National Audubon Society. We continued our habitat restoration work at Marymoor Park and have expanded into creating tiny forest habitat in developed urban and suburban areas.”
