The project undergoes an annual financial statement compilation which does not include the senior center or the food bank. The committee assumes responsibility over the compiled financial statements and selection process. The report was submitted to the appropriate agency. Sunny acres senior housing pays an annual asset management fee to the sr. Citizens of chewelah valley, which is shared by the food bank. This amount is 7,500 annually. The income to the sr. Citizens of chewelah valley is not reported, just as the expense is not reported as a rental expense as they are eliminated upon consolidation for entity reporting on the form 990. Governance for the senior citizens of chewelah valley is through a volunteer board of directors.
