“Wcaap has the following classes of membership: fellow members consisting of fellows and specialty fellows of the american academy of pediatrics (aap). Active members consisting of any pediatrician or pediatric subspecialist who is not a fellow or specialty of the aap. Allied health members consisting of other medical professionals caring for pediatric patients. Affiliate members consisting of other individuals who are interested in the promotion of child health. Academic fellows consisting of physicians who are currently participating in an approved pediatric fellowship training program in the state of washington. Resident fellows consisting of physicians who are enrolled in an approved pediatrics residency program in washington state. Honorary members consisting of distinguished persons who have rendered outstanding contributions to pediatrics in the state of washington. Emeritus members consisting of members who have retired from active practice after being a member twenty years or emeritus members of the aap residing in washington state.”

“Wcaap's officers and trustees are elected by a vote of its fellow, active, academic fellow, and emeritus members.”

“Amendments to wcaap's bylaws require the affirmative vote of two-thirds of the fellow, active, academic fellow, and emeritus members present at any regular or special meeting, or by a poll otherwise provided to those members.”

“Wcaap's 990 is prepared by independent accountants and provided to wcaap's management for initial review. The form is then submitted to wcaap's board of directors for further review and discussion prior to filing.”

“Wcaap's conflict of interest policy is reviewed with board members annually and they are required to disclose any conflicts of interest.”

“The compensation of wcaap's executive director is determined by its officers and trustees based on a compensation survey and other market data.”

“Wcaap makes its governing documents, conflict of interest policy, and financial statements available to the public upon request.”
