Governance Explanations

Form 990, Page 6, Part VI, Line 1A

An executive committee shall be composed of the chairman, vice-chairman and secretary-treasurer (or secretary and treasurer if the offices are separated.) and the immediate past chairman. The executive committee is authorized to act on matters of business necessity in between board meetings. The board is kept appraised of actions taken as they progress and in regularly scheduled board meetings.

During the year ending december 31, 2024, the organization made the following significant changes to its articles of incorporation and bylaws: (1) organization's name change from northwest housing association to washington manufactured housing association, (2) officers' term was changed from one year to two years, (3) changes were made to the duties and responsibilities of the secretary/treasurer.

Membership of the corporation is divided into two classes: annual membership dues and shipment dues. Membership dues are divided into four categories: anufacturers, retailers, lenders, and associate members. Active membership is open to those persons, firms, corporations, or associations engaged in the lawful sale or distribution, manufacture or financing of systems-built housing and/or park model recreational vehicles (rvs) at a retail or wholesale level. Each active member of the corporation in good standing shall be entitled to cast one (1) vote per membership on any association business. Associate members are not entitled to vote.
