“20 members of the executive committee including 5 officers, 3 committee chairs, 3 committee chair-elects, 5 regional representatives, 1 commercial representative, 1 nar director, wr's ceo (non-voting ex-officio), and 1 local association executive (non-voting). The scope of the executive committee is: 1) give direction to committees and task forces as necessary through the shared focus of the association, 2) make budget adjustments as necessary and as recommended provided they do not exceed one percent of the annual budget or reduce the operating reserve below that required by the financial policies, 3) provide budget oversight of all programs, 4) in collaboration with the ceo, manage the affairs of the association, 5) hire the ceo, enter into an employment agreement as appropriate and approve extensions to such agreement as specified in the agreement, 6) conduct an annual review of the ceo, 7) all personnel issues dealing with the ceo, including the annual review process, shall be conducted by the president, president-elect, treasurer, and one other person appointed by the president. However, the full executive committee shall vote on the hiring and firing of the ceo.”

Salary increases, bonuses and benefit enhancements shall be considered annually, at which time wr shall take into consideration the performance, time in the position, and independent studies of appropriate data for similar organizations, including but not necessarily limited to studies by the washington society of association executives, the american society of association executives, and the national association of realtors (nar). The final decision on whether any salary increases, bonuses or benefit enhancements will be given to the ceo shall be within the sole discretion of the association.”
