“Membership in the bureau shall be the following three types: Active membership - active membership shall be qualified by payment of the prescribed annual dues. Active members shall have (1) voting rights; (2) the right to representation at general membership meetings of the Bureau through its appointed representatives; and (3) other rights and privileges from time to time as set forth by the board. Inactive Membership - Inactive members shall be those members that are ninety days or more delinquent in the payment of dues. An inactive member shall have no rights as a member until all delinquent dues have been paid. Honorary Membership - Honorary members shall be qualified by selection by two-thirds vote of the Board of Directors, hereinafter called the "board." The board shall select such honorary members from those who have made contributions to the tourist trade of the Yakima Valley Visitors and Convention Bureau. Honorary members shall have all rights and privileges of active members, without obligation for the payment of annual dues. An honorary membership may be revoked at any time by the Board of Directors.”

“THE PRESIDENT'S COMPENSATION IS DETERMINED BY THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE. THEY REVIEW A NUMBER OF PERFORMANCE CRITERIA TO DETERMINE WHAT THE INCREASE IN SALARY SHOULD BE. THE PRESIDENT & CEO, THE OFFICE MANAGER (WHO WOULD NORMALLY TAKE MINUTES OF THE MEETING) NOR THE CONTROLLER WERE INVOLVED IN THIS MEETING OF THE EXECUTIVE BOARD SINCE IT DEALT WITH CONFIDENTIAL SALARY AND PERFORMANCE INFORMATION. THE CONTROLLER RECEIVES A LETTER FROM THE EXECUTIVE BOARD CHAIR EXPLAINING WHAT HIS BONUS IS TO BE AND THE CONTROLLER ISSUES A CHECK TO HIM PER THE LETTER. THIS LETTER IS INCLUDED IN HIS PERSONNEL FILE. THE PRESIDENT'S COMPENSATION WAS LAST REVIEWED IN February 2017.”
