The need for this funding is due to the shutdown of the federal government. Seattle indian health board has indicated that their traditional medicine program is an essential service for many of their clients. Discontinuation of the program would have a severe and lasting negative impact on the health of native people in seattle.”

“There has been a delay in completing planned parenthood's 2021 audit for several reasons. The previous vice president of finance left the company in april 2022, as the audit was about to begin, along with additional staff turnover. This caused significant delays in retrieving, processing, and distributing the information to the auditors. The auditors were not able to return to the audit for completion in october as previously discussed due to scheduling conflicts. Once the audit is completed the form 990 will be amended if needed.”

"unless prohibited by statute or by rule, a member (of the aicpa) may use the taxpayer's estimates in the preparation of a tax return if it is not practical to obtain exact data and if the member determines that the estimates are reasonable based on the facts and circumstances known to the member." bdo does represent that estimates were used in cases where the audited numbers were not available, and that the estimates reported on the form 990 are reasonable. Upon completion of the audit, there will be adjustments to the 990 reporting, including standard differences between the audited financial statements and reporting for irs purposes.”
