“Changes to cox elementary pta by-lawsrevised january 2022adopted 9/20/2023article iv membership and duessection 4.b. Annual dues shall be allocated as follows:1. Two dollars and twenty five cents ($2.25) of each members annual dues is payableto the national pta2. Two dollars ($2.00) of each members annual dues is payable to the californiastate pta.3. One dollar ($1.00) of each members annual dues is payable to fourth district.4. Thirty-five cents of each members annual dues is payable to huntington unioncouncil.5. Each association shall remit to the council per capital dues of five dollars andsixty cents ($5.60) annually.section 7.to remain in good standing, a remittance of council, district, ca state pta, andnational pta portions of the dues paid by each member to this association shall beremitted by the council deadline of november 1.article v officers and their electionsection 6.b. Nominees for the offices of president, treasurer, financial secretary, auditor,or any elected officer authorized to sign checks shall not be related by blood ormarriage or reside in the same household.article vi duties of officers and chairssection 4. (new section)all disbursements of the association must be signed by two (2) authorized signers.authorized signers are: president, treasurer, and first vice president, second vicepresident. The authorized signers and any members counting cash/checks shall not berelated by blood or marriage nor reside in the same household.article viii executive boardsection 2.g. Appoint an audit review committee, ratified by the association, to review therequired audits and review the financial records. The audit review committee shallbe composed of the auditor and, at least, one other member of the unit, council, ordistrict pta. The majority of the audit review committee members may not be checksigners.audits may be conducted by an elected auditor, appointed auditor, or council pta.alternatively, the board may authorize, subject to the ratification of theassociation, that required audits be conducted by a qualified accountant (paid orvolunteer).if the audit is conducted by a qualified accountant (paid or volunteer), therequirement of appointing an audit review committee does not apply.h. Appoint a member or members of the unit, ratified by the association, who is/arenot a check signer to review the monthly bank statements and reconciliation.i. Create committees as are deemed necessary to promote the purposes and to carry onthe work of the association, the ca state pta and the national pta and approve acommittees plan of work.section 6.b. Six (6) members shall constitute a quorum.”
