COMMUNITY THREADS PROVIDES DONATED GOODS TO ORGANIZATIONS AND INDIGENT PEOPLE IN OUR COMMUNITY. IT IS NOT ADMINISTRATIVELY FEASIBLE TO TRACK IN DETAIL THE VALUE OF THESE DONATED GOODS. HOWEVER, WE ESTIMATE THAT, AT A MINIMUM, $30,000 WAS GIVEN TO PERSONS IN NEED. THESE PERSONS AND ORGANIZATIONS INCLUDE A NO- KILL ANIMAL SHELTER, INDIGENT FAMILIES SCREENED AND REFERRED TO US BY OUR TRUSTED MINISTRY PARTNERS, SHORT & LONG-TERM MISSIONARIES WHO ARE GIVEN CLOTHING AND OTHER ITEMS FOR THEMSELVES AND THE INDIGENT PEOPLE THEY SERVE, AND LIBRARIES AMONG OTHER ORGANIZATIONS AND INDIVIDUALS. WE BELIEVE IT IS WISE TO VERIFY THE LEGITIMACY OF THE NEED OF THOSE WHO SEEK ASSISTANCE BUT WE WILL NEVER TURN AWAY THOSE WHO ARE TRULY IN NEED. WE ALSO PROVIDE NUMEROUS VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES FOR THOSE WHO NEED TO FULFILL COMMUNITY SERVICE REQUIREMENTS AS WELL AS MANY INDIVIDUALS FOR WHOM VOLUNTEER SERVICE IS THERAPEUTIC FOR THEMSELVES.
