“| Explanation:| December 7 2023 To Whom It May Concern: I Seth Mason Founder and Executive Director of Wikidate EIN 88-3639078 am writing on behalf of the organization and its board requesting a change of mission from facilitating meaningful romantic relationships in the United States to improving the overall relationship between Anglo Americans and Hispanic Americans in this country. The South Carolina Secretary of State has already granted the corresponding name change Spanish America I'm awaiting instruction as to where to send the Articles of Amendment to the IRS if necessary. [paragraph break] We believe that the mission change will enable our organization to support a more impactful cause for the following reasons: [paragraph break] 1 The ability to speak Spanish is becoming more and more important in the workplace and also in everyday life. Speaking Spanish also opens doors to new enriching cultural experiences. We believe that teaching native English speakers Spanish for professional academic and personal purposes can improve the overall relationship between Anglo Americans and Hispanic Americans. [paragraph break] We also believe that establishing language exchange programs throughout the U.S. where native English speakers practice Spanish and native Spanish speakers practice English as is commonly found in large Latin American cities would improve overall relations between Anglo Americans and Hispanic Americans in this country. [paragraph break] 2 There exists an anti-Hispanic American immigration sentiment in this country. We believe that this sentiment can be mitigated by educating the American public of the economic importance of legal immigration from Latin America and advocating for fair and equitable treatment of legal Hispanic American immigrants so that they may successfully integrate into American culture. [paragraph break] 3 There exists a growing shortage of skilled labor in this country and an urgent need for more people to pay into the Social Security system. At the same time there exists an abundance of unemployed and underemployed skilled laborers in Latin America that could be put to work here. We believe that this disconnect between the supply and demand of labor can be rectified by: [paragraph break] A Educating the public and public officials not by lobbying about the need to create an easier path for Hispanic American skilled laborers to obtain a work visa in this country and pay into the Social Security system. [paragraph break] B Helping American businesses employ legal Hispanic American immigrants through immigration law education the creation of a skills certification program the creation of a database of skills-certified Hispanic American skilled laborers with legal immigration status and cultural and language training. [paragraph break] Wikidate is classified under 509a2; it's a service provider charity that generates revenue in the performance of its charitable mission. We would like to continue with our plan to generate revenue in the performance of our charitable mission: fees for Spanish classes fees for labor skills certification and database access sponsorships of and entrance fees to events etc. [paragraph break] In accordance with our new mission we are requesting that the name of our organization be changed to Spanish America. As previously mentioned we have already registered the name change with the South Carolina Secretary of State. We have also reserved the domain SpanishAmerica.org in anticipation of receiving approval for our change of mission.
