DONKS Mission Statement: DONKS is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing access to wellness and movement practices for underserved populations in the Denver Metro area. Weekly sessions combined boxing flag football and outdoor activities with mental health support. Program delivered 48 two-hour sessions across 4 school sites resulting in improved self-reported mental health outcomes for 82% of participants. Partnerships with local schools and Convivir Colorado enhanced program delivery with culturally responsive approaches specifically designed for all youth involved. Expenses: $10000 Program 2: Adaptive Movement Access Program delivered specialized movement classes for 68 individuals with physical and developmental disabilities in collaboration with Special Olympics Colorado. Program provided 36 accessible movement sessions incorporating adaptive equipment purchased this year. Activities focused on building confidence motor skills and social connection in outdoor settings. 15 caregivers also received training on continuing movement practices at home extending program benefits beyond scheduled sessions. Expenses: $10000 Program 3: Community Wellness Education Series conducted 12 community-based workshops reaching 230 participants from marginalized communities focusing on wellness education and movement literacy.
