“Program description continued we offer 35 weeks of training during the academic year, complemented by eight weeks of summer intensives. Students perform throughout the year, participating in collaborations with professional dance companies and competing in international competitions and galas. Our training model emphasizes individualized programming tailored to each dancers needs, aspirations, and talents. We provide a diverse curriculum that values all dance genres equally, facilitated by world-class faculty, in-house choreographers, and guest artists from national and international backgrounds. This nurturing environment fosters strong relationships and sets high expectations, equipping students with the skills necessary for a successful dance career while immersing them in the histories and experiences of global communities. Citydance presents citydance presents brings acclaimed national and international dance companies to various performance venues across the dc metro area. Through collaborations with area theaters, we support local choreographers in creating, producing, and performing new works. Each co-presentation includes educational elements, such as master classes, residencies, and summer intensives at the conservatory, providing our senior students with valuable opportunities to learn directly from company artists in preparation for college and professional auditions. Citydance studios citydance studios is committed to sharing the joy and connection of dance with everyone. We offer over 150 weekly classes, workshops, and camps for ages 3 to adult across more than 20 dance genres. Youth programs serving nearly 1,300 students annually, our youth programming includes seven weeks of full-day summer camps during our 35-week school year session. Classes range from ballet, hip-hop, jazz, modern, tap, k-pop, to creative movement. We also offer day camps during public school closures and have developed genre-specific performance groups for teenagers, who perform at community events and in an annual concert at the university of the district of columbia each may. Adult programs with over 800 students participating year-round, citydance studios provides weekly classes and workshops, as well as a summer masterclass series featuring dc-based choreographers. Our diverse offerings include ballet, classical and contemporary modern, yoga, pilates, tap, and jazz, designed to accommodate dancers at all technical levels. Citydance operates four locations across dc and montgomery county, md, with a total of 13 dance studios. We provide over 300,000 annually.”
