“Melplc will provide time and opportunity for educational professional learning and growth of public school district leaders. Through secured funding for this purpose, collaborative learning opportunities will be created to help keep district leadership current with what is best practice for students, staff and school communities as efforts are made to maximize student academic growth and support social/emotional stability. Additionally, the stated education associations will merge to create positive educational messaging promoting the benefits of maine public education, showcasing highlights from the education associations and the public school districts of maine.”

“Activities will include annual / multi-annual professional learning events (speakers,leadership series for identified cohorts such as superintendents, aspiring superintendents,assistant superintendents, cte directors, school board members, school board chairs, principals, assistant principals, special education administrators, curriculum coordinators, community groups, other educational associations). Events will support the identified mission as stated in the mission statement. To support our public school messaging effort, video clips will be prepared to demonstrate and showcase maine loves public schools (mlps) with an ongoing and sustained effort to promote and maintain trust in maines public schools.”
