“Conflict of Interest Policy Purpose The purpose of this Conflict of Interest Policy is to protect the integrity and reputation of DayOneNotDayTwo by ensuring that its officers directors employees and volunteers act in the best interests of the organization and do not engage in activities that could create actual or perceived conflicts of interest. Definition of Conflict of Interest A conflict of interest occurs when an individuals personal financial or professional interests interfere with their ability to make impartial decisions on behalf of the organization. This includes but is not limited to: Financial relationships with vendors contractors or partners of the organization. Employment or board positions with competing or related organizations. Receiving personal benefits from nonprofit business dealings. Disclosure and Duty to Report All officers directors and key personnel must disclose any potential conflicts of interest at the start of their tenure and annually thereafter. Additionally they must report any new conflicts of interest that arise during the year to the Board of Directors. Disclosures should be made in writing and reviewed by the Board or a designated committee. Procedures for Handling Conflicts Disclosure: The individual with a conflict must disclose all material facts. Recusal from Decision-Making: The conflicted individual shall not participate in discussions or votes related to the conflict. Review & Determination: The Board will assess whether the conflict affects the integrity of the nonprofits operations and determine appropriate action. Documentation: The conflict and its resolution will be recorded in board meeting minutes. Violations of the Policy If an individual fails to disclose a conflict of interest the Board may take corrective actions including removal from their position if necessary. Annual Acknowledgment All officers directors and key employees must sign an annual acknowledgment confirming their understanding and compliance with this policy.”

“Community AF is a multimedia-driven initiative that amplifies underrepresented voices and fosters community engagement through solutions-based journalism storytelling and digital media production. This program was launched to empower local residents to take control of their narratives by creating and distributing content that highlights social issues community solutions and grassroots activism. Through Community AF our organization provides: Training and mentorship in journalism video production and digital storytelling. A platform for community members to publish investigative reports and multimedia content addressing local issues. Collaborations with local media outlets to promote transparency accountability and community-driven solutions.
