Form 990 governing body review Part VI line 11

A draft of the Form 990 was provided to the organizations board for review prior to filing. Board members were given the opportunity to provide comments and suggest revisions, if any. Following this review, the board authorized the final version of the Form 990 for filing and designated the Executive Director to sign and submit it on behalf of the organization.

Conflict of interest policy compliance Part VI line 12C

Neighborhood Companions Inc. monitors and enforces its Conflict of Interest Policy by requiring all board members, officers, and key employees to complete and sign a written disclosure form annually. These disclosures identify any actual or potential conflicts of interest. The forms are reviewed by the board or a designated committee to determine whether any conflicts exist and, if so, to document and manage them in accordance with the policy. This process is repeated each year to ensure ongoing compliance and transparency.

The board reviews the Executive Directors compensation annually, taking into account the organizations financial resources and sustainability. The compensation is evaluated against a threshold that reflects the market range for similar roles at organizations of comparable size and scope within the same geographic area, to ensure it is reasonable and aligned with industry standards.

The organization currently does not have any officers or key employees other than the Executive Director. However, the board has established a policy to review and evaluate the compensation of any future officers or key employees, if and as needed, using a process similar to that used for the Executive Directorconsidering the organizations financial capacity and ensuring compensation is reasonable and within the market range for comparable positions.
