Mission and Program Overview
Mission
The mission of The Humanity Funds is to provide sustainable support and relief to individuals in global crisis areas with a focus on assistance for women and children. The programs of The Humanity Funds primarily in Ukraine include providing community heating points assistance to hospitals in crisis supporting programs to address psychological trauma caused by loss of family members and exposure to war addressing the health needs of women and children and as needed meeting immediate emergency needs after catastrophic events. The mission also includes support for Ukrainian Cultural Identity in face of Russia effort to erase that identity.

“The 2024 Tax Year was the first tax year in which I took on the task of filing the 990 form. I had difficulty understanding the insturcutions and I made errors most significant of which was failing to adequately take into account a $19000 line of credit available to The Humanit Funds but not used and including deposits and expenses in the first days of 2025 that should have been left for the 2005 990 form. I regret the errors unearthed as I have been preparing the 2025 990. The errors were entirely errors in filling out the form. Nothing changed in terms of the accounts for revenues or expenses.”

“The Humanity Funds initiated a tripartite agreement with the Ukrainian Non-Profit Save Ukraine and Ohmatdyt Hospital in Kyiv for a Holistic approach to address the health needs of women. With the financial and advisory support of The Humanity Funds Save Ukraine operates community health and rehabilitation centers for women and children. Ohmatdyt hospital is taking advantage of its close relationship with thousands of mothers who bring their children to the hospital to begin a program of health support for these women. With the assistance of The Humanity Funds the hospital has just renovated and equipped a clinic for breast cancer screening. The plan is to extend this effort into mobile services to include vaccination against cervical cancer and mobile breast screening capabilities. In addition THF began a concerted effort to help Ukraine spread awareness of Ukrainian culture by bringing to the US a culturally unique orchestra for a performance at Seattles Benaroya Hall.”
