“Cuttyhunk steam academy mission is to provide engaging, high-quality educational and enrichment programming for children and adults who live on and visit cuttyhunk island that leverage the untapped potential of the cuttyhunk community and its natural resources, including neighboring islands and surrounding waters.”

“This year has been a testament to the transformative power of education rooted in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.together, weve expanded horizons,tackled new challenges, and celebrated milestones that will shape the future of children in the region. Two one-time funding opportunities through the southcoast wind fund and the gosnold public schools elementary and secondary school emergency relief (esser iii fund, a source of federal funding for school districts to address the impact of the covid-19 pandemic on students) were awarded. These grant funds afforded the establishment of a new collaboration with the greater new bedford regional vocational technical high school to develop and implement a new educational program focused on offshore wind education, awareness, and workforce development and the second, a continuation and expansion of the watershed study for grade 4 & 5 students with the new bedford public schools. By years end, the cuttyhunk steam academy provided programs for approximately 1200 students and staff.”
