“The indo-pacific institute has a conflict of interest and ethics policy furnished to each director, officer and key employee, each of whom are required to complete a conflict of interest questionnaire annually reviewing the policy, disclosing any conflict of interest, and acknowledgement that they have acted in accordance with the letter and spirit of the policy. The policy is administered by the board as described in section 5 entitled administration of policy. The board is responsible for reviewing reports regarding the conflict of interest questionnaire, receiving disclosures of current or proposed covered transactions, reviewing proposed covered transactions to determine whether they meet the standards, and maintaining minutes and such other documentation as may be necessary and appropriate to document its review of covered transactions.”

Compensation decisions of officers and key employees are made and approved by the members of the board of directors, who share decades of experience in the u.s. One focus has been the implications of technological innovation which affects almost every economic and social sector and has been central to strengthening cooperation and partnership among countries as well as between the private and public sectors. From national security to defense to economic and energy security, the ipi has promoted discussions and held briefings around the role of technology including the evolution of cybersecurity, 5g telecommunications and semiconductors, and supply chain domain awareness. The ipi has provided educational briefings on such topics to national leaders, ambassadors, g-7 summit sherpas, government ministers, as well as staffers and members of congress and the japanese diet. 3 media outreach and education briefing and interviews - the indo-pacific institute speaks with various global publications ranging from the wall street journal to the financial times and the yomiuri shimbun to discuss and educate about indo-pacific strategies and topics of critical importance that impact the region.”
