We produce international reporting and organizing to inform and empower marginalized community members, create professional opportunities, and advocate for th just funding and employment of native artists, media workers and storytellers. In doing this we control our narratives in order to crush colonialism.”

“In 2023 crushing colonialism launched our multi-year programming for decolonized beatz indigenous world pride, which included an event in winnipeg, canada and the formation of an international planning council. Crushing colonialism also released the first edition of a new quarterly publication, the magazine. In 2024 the organization expanded its work through strategic planning, fundraising, and communications, as well its reach with community partners. We demonstrated our commitment to principles of disability and language justice with the creation of communications materials in a variety of languages and co-sponsored a film screening with indigenous filmmakers and people from kuirkuros tribe in brazil.”
