“Industry Overview In the United States, the low income youths lack help with academic or social services in their community. Social Spin plans to offer the youth tutoring and mentoring in their neighborhood. During the COVID pandemic so many students fell behind academically and a lot of citizens in the Chicago area are experiencing emotion break downs. We need more support for the low income that cannot afford tutoring or the families that cannot afford counseling. Social Spin is ready to be a part of the HELP. Social Spin Tutoring & Mentoring nonprofit offers FREE, one-on-one, online and in person services to underserved students. The tutors are volunteers who are background checked. Students will have one or two tutoring sessions a week. Business Goals and Objectives Short Term: Our short term goal is to purchase a building on the Southside of Chicago to help all Chicago south sider youths. Available to help youth from Chicago Public Schools, DCFS, Churches, Juvenile Detention Centers, low income housing, and Shelters. Long Term: Our long term goal is to have services throughout the Cook County service area and maybe other surrounding counties. Available to help ALL youth from Chicago Public Schools, DCFS, Churches, Juvenile Detention Centers, low income housing, and Shelters.”
