The organizations conflict of interest policy states that all board members will annually read and agree to comply with the terms of the policy. Further, the policy states that prior to any board actions, any member will disclose any interest he or she has in the item being acted upon and will recuse himself or herself from voting on the related action.

When determining the salary for the program manager, the board considered the salaries of similar positions at other non-profit groups that provide similar services that Bridge of Hope will be providing. A motion to set the salary was made at a regularly scheduled board meeting, and was voted in the affirmative by a majority of the members present, as required in the by-laws.

IRS990/Desc0From AprilDecember 2024, Bridge of Hope provided emergency shelter to 90 individuals (37 men, 29 women, 24 children). We helped 19 secure their own homes and reunited 28 with family. Staff assisted 26 with SNAP benefits, 24 with Medicaid, 27 in gaining new jobs, 15 in keeping existing jobs, and 20 in opening local bank accounts. Our Resource Center served 58 clients through 195 visits for showers, laundry, meals, and support. In our first year, our greatest accomplishment was opening our doors as a safe, supportive space for people working toward stability and independence.
