Form 990-ez, Part III, Line 28

In 2024, african collaborative network (acn) made significant progress toward its mission of strengthening unity, representation, and collective advocacy among african immigrantled organizations in west michigan. Community unity & coalition building (flagship achievement) acn designed and facilitated a community unity that led to visioning initiative in 2025 aimed at strengthening collaboration and shared leadership across african organizations in the region. This effort culminated in a visioning convening that brought together 12 african-led organizations and 41 organizational representatives. The event focused on collective priorities, governance alignment, and strategies for coordinated advocacy, resulting in a stronger, more representative, and action-oriented coalition of african organizations in west michigan. Through its youth internship and mentorship programs, acn supported african immigrant and refugee youth with career exposure, skillbuilding, and mentoring relationships. Youth participants gained hands-on experience, professional guidance, and increased readiness for employment and leadership within their communities.
