“The hospital has been recognized as exempt from income taxes under section 501 of the internal revenue code (the "code"). However, the hospital is subject to federal income tax on any unrelated business taxable income. Under fasb asc 740, income taxes, the company is required to recognize a liability for each uncertain tax position at the amount estimated to be required to settle the issues. As of december 31, 2013 and 2012, there were no liabilities recorded for uncertain tax positions. The federal income tax returns have a three year statute of limitations and the nevada returns each have a four year statute of limitation, from the latter of a) the due date of the return or b) the date the return is filed. During this time period the income tax returns could be subject to examination. The federal income tax returns are subject to examination from 2009 through 2012 and state income tax returns are subject to examination from 2008 to 2012.”
