“CCEDC Board of Directors compares compensation for executive staff based upon similar-sized nonprofits in the same geographic area with comparable operations. We use compensation surveys as well as survey local agencies of comparable size. This is compared to the annual budget that defines revenue. We also solicit our compensation committee consisting of Board Members. The committee documents its process including the data reviewed and their reasons behind the specific recommendation ensure the recommendation is reasonable and not excessive. The committee presents is finding to the Board for final approval. Policy" The Board of Directors shall annually review the compensation of the Executive Director taking into consideration comparability data for similarly sized and mission-orientated organizations in the geographic area. The review will document the comparability data used the rationale for the compensation determined and any conflicts of interest that may exist.”
