The nevada telecommunications association will support its member organizations through regulatory, legislative and public relations advocacy. The association will enhance the communications business environment, advance the business interests and promote the reputation of its member organizations. The association will foster cooperation, mutual respect and unity among its members in pursuit of the association's goals and objectives.

Annual scholarship(s) awarded to high school seniors. In 2015 five 1,000 scholarships were awarded, for a total of 5,000.

In 2015 the by-laws were changed to reflect changes to nevada state law. The changes required the organization to redefine the limits of active and industry membership. Active membership is no longer dependent upon being a provider of last resort; however, an active member must be an incumbent local exchange carrier as set forthin in the nevada revised statutes.
