“The Chamber has members who pay annual membership dues.”

Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7A

“The Board appoints an election committee chair and three additional board members to assist in the election process. The election committee sends correspondence to all members of the chamber to announce their ability to run for the open seats on the Board. The election committee reviews all nominations to determine if the Chamber member qualifies for the position. Qualifications include: 1) the member must be an active member in good standing with the Chamber for one year prior to the election 2) Candidates must have been active members of the Chamber for a minimum of four years and have served as an active member of the Board for at least two years. Next, the Board of Directors approves reviews/approves the recommendations for candidates provided by the election committee. Ballots are then mailed to all voting members of the chamber. Ballots are returned directly to an independent CPA firm for counting. The new Board of Directors is initiated at the annual awards and installation Gala that is typically held in December of each year.”

IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt1The Board appoints an election committee chair and three additional board members to assist in the election process. The election committee sends correspondence to all members of the chamber to announce their ability to run for the open seats on the Board. The election committee reviews all nominations to determine if the Chamber member qualifies for the position. Qualifications include: 1) the member must be an active member in good standing with the Chamber for one year prior to the election 2) Candidates must have been active members of the Chamber for a minimum of four years and have served as an active member of the Board for at least two years. Next, the Board of Directors approves reviews/approves the recommendations for candidates provided by the election committee. Ballots are then mailed to all voting members of the chamber. Ballots are returned directly to an independent CPA firm for counting. The new Board of Directors is initiated at the annual awards and installation Gala that is typically held in December of each year.
